Ribbon Wristlets - Thank you Tatertots and Jello

This fabulous photo was taken from Tatertots & Jello blog.

Sometimes I don't know how I wander from blog to blog but it's easy to do.
So, although I couldn't tell you how I found Tatertots & Jello, I'm glad I did because she was so many fun, creative and inspiring ideas.

The first day I bluffed* across her blog she was highlighting her Ribbon Wristlets Spring Project.
TOO CUTE!

If you haven't seen my Etsy shop yet, you'll notice I have a TON of colors of the Baby Momma Necklaces. That means I have a TON of little satin ribbon scraps that I couldn't bear to just THROW AWAY! They're too soft and shiny and colorful and I knew that one day I'd know just what to do with them.

And that just happened to be the Ribbon Wristlets. I grabbed up all my little scraps, shoved them together and smushed them through the sewing machine until they were good and super ruffly. I did it that night. 9 days later I just bought the clasps and the hot glue I needed to finish the project! I was happy with my little ruffly rectangles, but I'm not sure I'm happy with how I turned them into wristlets.

Mine just didn't turn out as CUTE as Jen's, but it was fun to do and now I feel like I didn't waste the ribbon bits. I needed to be a little more creative with my choice of embellishments. Maybe I'll rip them off and find some cool pendants as featured on Jen's bracelets.

That's my show and tell for the day! And I highly recommend you hop on over to Tatertots & Jello, I'm sure you'll be inspired!

* So, "blurffing" is apparently blog surfing! I learned this from one of the gals who dished it at Amanda's Dishing It party. I can't remember who though!?

  7. Thanks Amanda!
And Becca, I was lucky my mother-in-law gave me one, otherwise I probably wouldn't have one! It's definitely fun to have on hand even though I am FAR from being a seamstress!
