I've still been crafting a wee bit, I'm sure that'll pick up now that David is back to work. I'm feeling a bit stymied with my Etsy store and am trying to find ways to pick it up and get it going. If you have any advice or thoughts, I could sure use some inspiration!
I do plan on sending some samples to the Museum of Art and Craft to see if they'll show my jewelry in their store gallery. I WILL follow up on that.
Where do you get your wire and beads? And you knit those on size 000 DPNs right? I want to make some. My mom wants some too.
ReplyDeleteHey! These particular ones were knit on a US 4 or 5 I think. The 000 DPN takes too long and hurts my fingers, and since I'm trying to make these to sell, I don't want to be hurting my fingers!
ReplyDeleteI bought my wire from the store, it's fine silver wire, which is about $1.25 (if I remember right) a yard and I think I take about 8-10yds per bracelet. Or you could try anti-tarnish wire, maybe look online?
My beads are from a collection all over, I usually try and stop in bead stores when I find them to get some great and unusual beads. I supplement with beads from Michaels. I've also bought up some of Holly's beads that she has in the shop, check out her collection too.
Well Happy knitting! And is your blog up yet?
No. My mom is still thinking about it but she thinks it's a great idea.
