Birthday Cake Surprise!

Yesterday was OFFICIALLY my birthday, although we celebrated this past weekend. Actually, we celebrated with my folks before we left by going to dinner at Chef Warren's, and celebrated with both our parents with cake at the house (although David was sick in the bed), so there has been plenty of celebration.
However, David came home from work, and as I was cooking dinner, came out of the bedroom with birthday candles and my favorite birthday cake ice cream! Cold Stone Creamery's Birthday Cake Remix is BY FAR the best, but Baskin Robin's was an awesome runner up, especially when your husband brings it home to you on your birthday!
So I had candles to blow out on my birthday :-)
I've been enjoying my birthday presents too. My dad gave me a book called Consider This, Senora by Harriet Doerr and it is probably one of the best books I've read in a long time. I can't put it down.
And then last night I got to open my present from Mom & Dad M. It had been taunting me since we left, but I was NOT ALLOWED to open it until my birthday, so at long last the wrapping was ripped off! I got an awesome book called the AWE-MANAC, full of inspiration, laughs and prompts to get the creative juices going. And I also got a knitting needle organizer that I have admired.
What a wonderful birthday! Thanks to EVERYONE!
