What to wear with a plain white shirt: Take 1

Hello lovies!

I was getting ready to meet a girlfriend for lunch when I thought I'd share my outfit of the day with you, and show you how I like to take a boring outfit (plain white shirt + jeans) and spice it up.

This is my new favorite creamy-white shirt.

I made it with a linen/cotton blend fabric.

It's also the first shirt I've ever made.

It's a SUPER simple style that I copied after one of my favorite thrift (GOODWILL) store finds.

Many people think you need to wear lots of pattern, color & textures to be fashionable. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my pattern, color & textures and mixing them up or wearing them all at once, but sometimes a simple outfit with the right accessories will go a long way.

So over the course of several weeks (months .. who knows) I'm going to show you how to wear a plain white shirt.

How to dress it up & dress it down.

Wear a Long Necklace.

(I got mine at Target last year)

(Maybe I should have painted my nails. Oh well, I'm keeping it real. This is my real out-the-door look!)

Paired with my favorite Skinny Jeans from New York & Co. and a pair of snakeskin (faux) sandals I'm feeling pretty put together, yet casual.
