Even since I discovered Elsa Schiaparelli after stumbling across a bottle of her vintage Shocking Pink perfume I've been intrigued with this designer.
If you look her up you'll see her name side by side with the likes of Chanel. And although her name is not as notorious as Chanel, her imprint on the fashion world still is. Her most "important legacy was in bringing to fashion the playfulness and sense of 'anything goes' of the Dada and Surrealist movements. She loved to play with juxtapositions of colours, shapes and textures."

Did you watch this season of The Bachelor? Do you remember Meghan Merritt in the hot pink Dolce & Gabbana wedges? They were from their 2009 Dolce & Gabbana Fashion Show in Milan - where their Elsa Schiaparelli influenced line included these Shocking Pink shoes.
