The Return of the Blazer

All blazers $6 thrifted (including, Talbots, Elementz, Dahlia, and vintage Requirements). Blue J-crew shirt, $2 thrifted. Black tank top, $5 @ Kmart last summer. Pearl & crystal necklaces made by me. Gold beaded necklace, $10 @ Target last year.


I'm finally starting to grow up. It happened when I started buying blazers.
A few weeks ago I saw one of my girlfriends wearing a black blazer and I thought she looked totally put together.
That's when I decided I was going to give it a try.

So I headed to ... yup, you guessed it, the thrift store. Well, that was after being at the mall and seeing blazers for $60+.
At the thrift store I pulled every single blazer off the rack that I thought I liked then headed to the dressing room with my cart. I left with 4 new (old) blazers, along with a few shirts and other goodies. I must say, this is my new favorite look. With a plain long sleeved shirt underneath, throw one of these on along with a great necklace and killer boots and I feel pretty darn put together. And this look will transition oh so nicely into spring. With the exception of the red wool blazer, the rest are casual and light enough to pair with a tank top, capris and ballet flats.

Oh how I've grown to appreciate simple sophistication. It's official, I'm an adult. At the age of 29.
