Today is my dear Dad's birthday. His birthday is the day before mine and I will never live down the year that I "stole" his birthday. The story goes that Dad was getting his birthday presents and we were all at the kitchen table singing happy birthday and apparently I started to cry - as my Dad calls them, big crocodile tears that "squirt" out of my eyes. Although I don't recall this I can only take everyone's word on it, and sadly I can't put this past my younger self as I was prone to a tear or two, or so I've heard.
Fast forward a few years and hopefully I've matured a little since then. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD! Today is YOUR day!
A Brag ... and Books
Now time for a little brag. Not a brag on ME, but a brag on one of my brothers. I could brag on BOTH my brothers, about how they are both EXTREMELY smart, successful, and pretty cool dudes. (And how my oldest has four of the most adorable children I've ever seen ...) but for for now I'll just brag on one brother.

And now ... for Day 3 of Project 365, a pair of Earrings. Inspired by a pair of earrings worn by *coughcoughishouldbeembarrasedtoadmitthis* Kelti Colleen on The Bachelor (YES, I watched it on hulu ... and YES, it IS pathetic). I wanted to make a pair of asymmetrical feather earrings. The other day I picked up a packet of two feathers and this morning got working on it. It was actually more difficult to attach the feather to the earring hook than I thought. But after a few tries I worked it out.
Alas, this is for Day 3 of Project 365, and I'm kinda diggin' them. I'm thinking a messy side bun is necessary for this look. And now I need to make another pair for me to keep!

Okay, number one, no feeling bad about the Bachelor- it is soooo my secret guilty favorite. Did I wake up on Monday and say to myself "IT'S MONDAY! BACHELOR TONIGHT!" ..yes. Did I also get really excited when it snowed and I knew I'd have the day off work on Tuesday, so I could let myself stay up and watch all two hours of the Bachelor? Yes again.

Number two? LOVE the earrings! I've never had/worn asymmetrical ones and kindof feel like now I want to!
