To Give or Not to Give

To Give, or Not to Give, that is the Question!

*Well, not REALLY, because I'm doing them anyways! I'm SUPER EXCITED ABOUT a give-away in the next day or so - details to come! But I would like YOUR input! *

Since January I've started participating in give-aways.

I'd be curious to get feedback from blog-readers/customers, and those doing the give-aways.

As a "store owner", I think of it as my advertising and PR. My cost is my product, which is usually valued $20-40. My gain is PR on another blog, new views to my store, a specific post about me and my product. Sponsorship on a blog costs $40 - 100 and sometimes you're just on the sidebar with a bunch of other sponsors. I think a combo of both is the best - sponsorship paired with a give-away.

As a customer, do you get tired of seeing give-aways?

Or does it de-value the product?

So far, they've helped bring on additional business, so I see value in them.

And who doesn't like to win??!

And I know that as a customer, I LOVE give-aways. I'd LOVE them even more if I won!!!

I have participated in a give-away each month since February. The first one was a Cool Girl Cowl, the second was a Baby Momma Necklace on Matter's of Style Blog in March.
