I swear my hair didn't look this copper-y in person!
Or at least I'd like to think. But I DID dye my hair from a box. Hmmmm.....
Was the day my hubby left to join the Army. It was something he felt called to do. It's actually something he had thought about for a long time, and when he could no longer ignore the calling, he followed his heart. And I supported his decision no matter what.
It's funny how the choices we make affect out lives. What if he had joined one month earlier, would that have changed the entire course of the past 2 years? He could have got different school dates, we could be stationed someplace else. It's a funny game to play, the "what if" game.
But alas, here we are 2 years later to the day. I'm proud of him, and proud of us. In that short amount of time he completed all his training, we got married, moved to Kentucky, moved to Georgia, went to the beach for two weeks, bought our first house, moved into the house, took an amazing trip to Paris and Normandy, he deployed, I enrolled in grad school, he got promoted ... I'd say we've done a lot. Our 2 year plan is looking pretty good.
Here's to the next two years!

I thought I'd share something that's making me happy on this rainy day in Georgia, my blog friend Amanda posted a GREAT introduction of Mississippi Mud to her readers since I'm a sponsor on her blog. Thanks Amanda!
It is so weird to think about hanging out with you with our husbands! I only know you by yourself! I was looking at your husband and then I was looking at you and thinking how I completely do not know the second half of you... I can't wait for our hub's to be back for good!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is so weird to think about! Out of all the women I hang out with I've only met 2 of the hubbies, one being yours and it was very brief! I cannot wait for them to come home either! Oh the grill-outs and fun we will have (and make them have too!)
ReplyDeleteTrust me, you won't have to drag me to a barbecue after this year. I'll have the grill fired up before you can get the word out of your mouth... and the beer will already be cold.
