I Wear Versace

On my lips!

The summer between my junior & senior year in college I had a coveted public relations internship downtown Chicago with Weber Shandwick. When I did get out for an actual lunch break (which I was always too busy to take until my last couple of weeks there) another one of the girls and I would walk down the Magnificent Mile and gawk at all the everyday people walking around with their Versace & Chanel sunglasses, Louis Vuitton purses and Burberry shopping bags. We loved walking into Neiman Marcus and soaking up all the lavishness. In my last few weeks there I decided to splurge. I bought my first Versace.

Versace lip gloss that is.

It was called Lights on Lips because it had an amazing sparkle to it. Why do I remember that? Well, in watching American Idol on Tuesday night I noticed all the girls seemed to have sparkly lips. And it reminded me of my beloved Versace lip gloss. And now I want it again.

You see, I have a love affair with lip gloss. I remember loving my Tinker Bell lipstick, and I was always jealous of my neighborhood girl who had this mint-chocolate lip gloss her mom got from Avon. But lately it's been Lip Smackers. I have a feeling though it won't be long before I feel the urge to splurge on Versace.
