NEW Scarflet Necklace Preview

So I've moved on from IPod/Cell Phone/Camera cases, and started making these Scarlet Necklaces, and I LOVE them. That's probably because I am totally a scarf person. I believe the most important winter accessories are a great pair of boots, earrings, and scarves (because you should pull back your hair when wearing an awesome scarf, thus the need for earrings!) The beauty of this necklace, is that you don't have to bother with "getting your scarf to sit just so", or having it unravel around your neck. You get the color and warmth around your neck without the hassle!
This particular Scarflet Necklace pictured is crocheted using 100% silk, and a 70/30% fine silk/mohair blend yarn. The back of the Scarflet Necklace is attached with an organza ribbon that you tie in a bow to secure your necklace in place. This one I embellished with sapphire blue beads that are outlined in bronze.
I've made a wide assortment of these Scarflet Necklaces - some chunkier with more earth-toned colors, a couple black ones that have a jewel toned carry-along that "dot" the necklace, and several more ones with variegated colors of silk, also embellished with beads. Yes, eventually they will be listed on my Etsy store! But not until at least after Wednesday (tomorrow) when I take the GRE!
