I've been emailing back and forth with a local Columbus, GA magazine about a freelance writing position, and yesterday I got an email about an assignment! Now although I am not IN Georgia yet, I can still research and write the article - getting the photos to go along with it will be tricky since the deadline in May 25th.
Anyways, I finished my morning research, made all my preliminary contacts, and will wait until Monday to follow up and start writing!
I'm VERY excited about this and hope this will lead to more freelance writing and help start my writing career.
