I wonder what all the soldiers who were there for breakfast thought of their breakfast with Sarah. David on the other hand, is used to it.

Soldiers and Sarah McLachlan
Just about every morning as DH (dear husband) comes home after 6am PT formation, we lounge around before both going together for the free "continental breakfast" in our hotel/apartment complex - one of the perks. Usually we wait around a little while and don't go until about 7ish, but Tuesday, we went right after he came back from formation. This morning we were the only people there since it was so early, and tired of the usual morning news, we surfed the channels and David succumbed to my love for trashy TV and we started watching a TV Special on Kelly Clarkson - the first American Idol winner, obviously. We sat there eating our usual toasted bagel with cream cheese and jelly, sipping hot coffee and enjoying our mindless and trashy TV. Slowly more and more soldiers started traipsing into the breakfast room. Slowly I became more self conscious of what we were watching and the fact that David had slowly slid the remote so that it was positioned right in front of me. Before I knew it, Kelly was over but Sarah McLachlan was onstage singing "In the Arms of the Angel" . . . the epitome of sappy chic love songs.
