September 21st: Got in car wreck on the way back from the Carolina Hotel!
Honeymoon weekend, Bald Head Island: Got locked out of house eating breakfast on the back deck in our underwear. Wrapped up in beach towels, hotwired golf cart, and drove until we ran into our first islanders and used phone to call the hubby's Dad to find the spare key we KNEW was hidden somewhere.
CURRENT ADVENTURES
October 10th: Flew to Ft. Knox to visit Hubby! (After a week of moving out of apartment!)
October 11-12th: Went to Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot. David shot in his first gun competition! Never in my life has I seen so many guns! Later on the 12th went to Arts & Crafts Festival in Elizabethtown. The beginning of fall festivals has arrived!
October 13th: Visited the Patton Museum and saw LOTS OF TANKS! I'm proud of my Tanker man!
October 18th: David planned a date to Louisville, KY for us. Drove downtown, and first off we came across a glass blowing factory called Glass Works where they we could see the artisans making glass pumpkins! Next month's event will be "Blow ho-ho" an ornament making extravaganza! Such a neat place!
Next stop, was the Louisville Science Center! David and I watched an IMAX movie on Ancient Egyptian Mummies, then had fun walking through the museum, playing with the exhibitions and best of all . . . we left with ASTRONAUT ICE CREAM!
Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft was our last downtown stop. He was so sweet to find places he thought I would enjoy. I have a wonderful husband.
After driving out a little further, and eating outside at a fun Irish pub called Molly Malone's, we decided the city had too much character to leave. So we got a hotel and went to 4th Street live - one of the "must dos" of the City.
Sunday we went to a bunch of cute little stores and shops that we drove past the day before and thoroughly enjoyed our overnight excursion to Louisville.
And THAT's NOT ALL! We left right from Louisville in day old clothes, and went to the Glendale Crossing Festival outside Elizabethtown. It was HUGE with over 300 vendors. The weather was beautiful, we enjoyed a Fried Oreo, then were happy to drive back to Ft. Knox and relax in our teeny tiny apartment the rest of the day.
Now it's MY turn to plan a date for David. So right now he's at Knob Creek Gun range doing what he likes to do while I blog, play and plan out date for this evening! Happy Anniversary Hubby!
