Here's what I made today! I had a request for a more neutral crochet ribbon necklace, and after finally finding some natural and unfinished wooden beads I got to it and made these necklaces. I also tried a new design, by knotting the beads in place and crocheting the ends of the necklace. I'm digging the neutral and natural look.

I miiiight just have to make one/keep one to wear with my newest AWESOME sweater from a FABULOUS friend of mine. I have been looking for a sweater like this to wear with legging and boots ... like my new Uggs, and every sweater I've tried on that I pick out for myself looks horrid. Well, Miss Nisa picked one out that seriously looks good and fits like a glove. I couldn't be happier!
Speaking of fabulous friends, I am so blessed by the friends I have in my life. Last night we went to dinner at a friends house. Well, it was supposed to just be dinner but turned out it was a surprise birthday party for me! I felt really special and truly spoiled. I'm not one who enjoys the spotlight, so despite the embarrassment of attention, I felt really special. And totally spoiled because I left with some pretty awesome swag!
This awesome cookbook!
This gorgeous necklace from this store on Etsy. My husband got me a pair of earrings from her for Christmas, and I'm kind of in love with her designs. There's already another necklace on my wish list!
And so much more - a beautiful pashmina, another gorgeous necklace, wine, a gift certificate to an awesome shoe & purse store ... I mean seriously, do they ladies know me or what?! Oh, and did I mention there was BIRTHDAY CAKE ICE CREAM FROM BRUSTERS?! Um yes, they have THE BEST. In all the land.
Well that's it for now. Time to enjoy the rest of the weekend with my husband. Did any of you have any surprises this week? Make anything cool? I'd love to hear!
Pssstt ... in case you were wondering, I wore the AWESOME Sam Edelman black studded beauties and my asymmetrical feather earrings with my birthday dress. I kind of loved it :-)
