WIWW - Outta my Uniform.

Although I don't wear a uniform to work per se, I do pretty much wear a uniform like I talked about last week. Well, this week I broke out of my "uniform" and actually got dressed on MORE than one occasion, but only remembered to document it twice! I'm getting better though!

The outfit on the left was what I wore to interview someone for an article I'm writing and then to dinner that evening to meet the girls for sushi. I promise I'm not that slouchy - I looked a little more put together once I had on my navy blazer jacket. Well, at least I hope I did. And this was pre-makeup!

Plaid ruffle top - Belk some years back. I'm pretty sure I got it on sale for $10
Capri Skinny Jeans - My favorite on sale $10 find from New York & Co (I have 3 pairs!)
Boots - from Aldo several years ago when I first began my love for boots - these were definitely a little more, maybe $120???

And on the right is what I wore to meet a girlfriend at Panera for lunch.

Black plunge-neck top - $15 at Marshalls this summer
Striped Cardigan - $40 from ModCloth.com
Capri Skinny Jeans - yup, the same ones.
Boots - you can't see but there are flat black ankle booties that I got for $10 at Payless as part of a BOGO deal

I wish I had photographed the outfit I wore to meet the new battalion commanders wife! C'est la vie! I was in too much of a rush to get out the door, and too ready to get out of it by the time I got home.

If you're not sure why I'm posting photos of what I wore, I'm participating in The Pleated Poppy's What I Wore Wednesday (WIWW) Challenge. I'll say, it got me motivated to get dressed, and then this afternoon I went through my closet to try on all my clothes to remind myself of all the cute stuff I have to wear, AND to get rid of clothes that either don't fit, or I don't wear.

Check it out ... I promise you'll be motivated to get out of your sweats and look a little more put together, which is difficult when you work from the home!
