365 Thursday - Week 5

Here's the projects I worked on this week! A lot of them involved finished up older projects, making progess on others, and a little bit of playing around.

And just in case you don't make it to the bottom of the page, don't forget to ENTER MY GIVE-AWAY for a chance to win $75 to Mississippi Mud.

How cute are these little baby booties?! When I managed Bella Filati (a yarn shop) my favorite projects to work on were little projects. Including baby booties. I love giving them as gifts to expecting friends. ALL of these booties were just in a bag waiting to be finished. So I got my tapestry needle out and seamed them together and then made I-cord ties. I love them!

This is my all time favorite baby sweater pattern. When my little preemie baby nephews were born I wanted to make them something special, and I made them each one of these sweaters out of the softest merino wool ever. They wore it forever! I had so much fun making them that I started making more! This one was also just waiting to be finished. All it needed were the ends to be woven in and the buttons to be sewn on. Done and done!

Here's a picture of the twins in the sweaters I made them. Just like a good auntie would do, I plopped them on the couch, leaned them up against each other, and snapped away!

A silk flower boutonierre - playing around with designs and flowers. Here's one almost finished, I just hadn't commited to the ribbon color.

This is a sweater I started several years ago. I have a LONG ways to go, but I did manage to work a few more inches of the body. I don't have a pattern for this, but since the fabric will be so drapey, I'm think a simple shape will work beautifully.

Very little progress was made on this number. I've been wanting to make a knitted bowl for a while - not a felted bowl (I've done that). So I started this, then realized I needed smaller circular needles. I have them - in my craft closed. Which I need to organize.
