My Uniform & a Hair-do Dilemma

Sweater - Corpus Popcorn Sweater - ($25-68) a gift for my birthday
Jeans - New York & Co - Skinny Denim Capris ($10)
Boots - Target ($25)
T-shirt - my husband's PT Army t-shirt

Lately I've been wearing the same "uniform" - over-sized sweater, t-shirt, skinny jeans and boots. I think I need to start giving myself a daily errand just so I have an excuse to get dressed and wear something different. WIWW is inspiring me to put a little more effort into my everyday.
Here is my honest to goodness what I wear everyday - with no makeup either. Maybe next week I'll have some more exciting outfits to post. What's the point of having super cute shoes if you don't wear them, right?

Now for the Hair-do Dilemma.

Blonde

Brunette

(I was excited about my manicure and sent this photo to my husband!)

Or In-between

(Pardon the ridiculous photos, they were the best of what I had in my Photobooth!)

I am leaning towards going back toward blonde-blonde. I've had long hair, super short hair (like Michelle Williams short) blonde hair, dark hair, red hair. After just going dark again I'm still not sure if I like it. And I'm also itching to chop it off for a more modern bob. What are your two cents? I'd love to hear - as long as it's not too harsh :-)

My husband won't give me his vote, so I need your help!

  1. I like the brunette best, I think it brightens up your face, but they all look cute!

  2. I like the brunette, but I am a proud brunette myself!

  3. Hi - I love the in-between myself. My friend Shari over at faithmeetfashion.com has a GREAT book about fashion and she addresses the hair color issue in there! So great - I totally recommend reading before you do ANYTHING! I myself and about to take the plunge and get a ...gasp...perm! My hair is soooo straight and it's been years since it was curly so I'm going to see what happens! Who know, I may go for the chop afterwards! I hope not. Good luck with your new do!

  4. Hi Sarita, I wandered over from Serenity Now. I like all three hair colors, but I think the in-between is the best. It looks very nice long. Which is not to say that it wouldn't look nice short as well :-)

I am in a similar clothes rut, but worse. Actually, your "uniform" would be dressed up for me. I keep gaining and losing baby weight (three kids in five years) so I have about 2 pairs of pants that fit that I save for weekends when I want to go out. Otherwise I am in sweats and a heavy sweater M-F.

  5. Hi! Popped over from Amanda's to check out your blog and was excited to see you live in Columbus, GA. We used to live there back in '97-99ish and loved it (yes, yes we really did)!

As far as your uniform...well, I haven't been warm in like 2 months so my clothing choices have really been temperature driven. I am ready for some spring and cuteness!!

  6. 1. I love those boots!
    2. I think as a uniform, it's not too bad. MUCH better than sweat pants and a t-shirt from 1997!
    3. You husband is smart not to give you his opinion. I ask for T's opinion and then get mad when it's not what I wanted to hear. Ha!

I think the brunette brightens your face, but the in-between is really pretty too...very soft. :) Love the bangs too!

Thank you so much for joining in my little "Bliss-at-Home" project today! :)

  7. I tend to wear a basic "uniform" a lot, too. I like wearing skinny cords tucked into tall boots with a sweater or plaid shirt.

You really look good with either hair color. I don't blame you for wanting to cut some lenth off; it really is easier to care for. I have mine in a bob of sorts and I really like it. It's still long enough to pull back which I like.

  9. Do you know who Annie Lennox is? Well, I had the same cropped haircut, probably like your hubby, and mine . . . if he had hair ; ) . . . in the 80's. I loved being different. You look cute in every photo, but I have to say I love the green scarf against your complexion, so I would stay in that hair color range.

  10. Thanks so much for weighing in everybody! I'll let you know when I do something. Which will be ... eventually. I usually deliberate for quite a while, then I'll just all of a sudden go and do it. Whatever "it" will be!

  11. Oh, and Kris, I do know who Annie Lennox is, when I had my hair that short (well, maybe not quite THAT short) but it was SUPER blonde and I too loved it! My husband still hopes that one day I'll do it again!

  12. Basing it on these photos I say, in-between color with a sharp bob.

It's always so much easier when it's someone else's hair!

  13. Wow, this is tough, you look great in all three, but they are all so different, I honestly think dark, but supershort or bob would be great... I just think the dark color looks the best
