Wanna-be Anthropologie

I love Anthropologie. In fact, I say it's my favorite store. However, I have only ever purchased one thing from them. My husband made me buy some lotion. It was the most expensive lotion I've ever purchased, but I can now finally say I have bought something from my favorite store! The thing I love about them is their styling. For me, it's the "LOOK" they create. That's what I buy into - the look, not necessarily their products.
The same way I try and get the Pottery Barn look with out the products, I try and get the Anthropologie look without the price. It's bohemian chic after all ... and no chic bohemian would pay those prices!

I made this necklace last night,

and after browsing through Anthropolgie online, found something similar.


This Anthropologie necklace would be too chunky on me anyways. Actually, I took apart a necklace that was more like the Anthropolgie necklace and made a smaller version because whenever I wore the original necklace, I felt like Thelma Flintstone!

No, they are not just alike, but they can both be used to achieve a similar look. And it's the "LOOK" I'm after anyways! Only mine is about $140 less! It just so happens that I made one for me, and one for my Etsy store. Check out my Little Moons Necklace here!
