So, red & yellow combo, love it or hate it?!

Cotton & Beaded Teal Top $3.99,
another pair of my fave K-Mart $20 Jeans,
$10.00 TJ Maxx shoes!
(I forgot jewelry! Don't worry,
before I left the house I put on a beaded bangle
& switched to a pair of Mississippi Mud earrings
- all for the library, sheesh.)

I've always been into the thrift store fashion.
I remember going with my mom one time in middle school and finding a pair of "Post Man" pants. You know the kind your post man wear when we delivers the mail? Polyester blue with a dark blue stripe on the side?!
Man oh man did I thought I had scored big!

That was the same year I bought a pair of burgundy polyester pants, cut a slit on the sides and sewed in a triangle of fabric, can you picture the total hippie pants I'm talking about??! I'm pretty sure a hemp necklace would have been the perfect accessory (some how I never got into that!)

Now I wasn't a hippie, I have just always liked to experiments with clothes & outfits. And there have been MANY FAILS over the years! Of course, I never knew it at the time, but when I think back ... yes, many fails.

I'm a little off topic, but when shopping at a thrift store I feel like I have a little more authority to be adventurous. I mean, when you buy a top you're not too sure about, but it's only a dollar, you can feel pretty okay about your fashion adventure.

Well I thought I'd share a few of my latest Thrift Store Fashion outfits!
What's been your favorite fashion flop or thrift store fashion find?!
Post a link if you have a photo, or just share!

I won't even go into the one time I bought a pair of generic Adidas Gazelle (remember those?) high heels. They were black, with white stripes, they laced up and had white rubber heels. I was so excited about them I even drew a picture of them in my diary. I think my mom was horrified that I had used my babysitting money to buy them. Looking back, I should have been too.
(Okay, so I just had to confess!)

  1. I have way too many fashion flops to even mention! I like your finds; they are really neat! But I like your jewelry the best!
