Jake & Vienna - What's the Problem?

If you're like me, then you've been a faithful follower of this season of The Bachelor. And you probably have an opinion on Tenley versus Vienna. Some of you might think Jake is an idiot for picking Vienna. I happen not to agree.

Yes - Tenley is Beautiful. Tall. Great figure, to die for legs. Great smile. We all knew his family would love her. She's smart. She's a dancer. Our heart goes out for her because she's been heartbroken. She married the love of her life, gave him everything, and he cheated on her. (Now HE'S and idiot!) She's America's sweetheart.

But didn't you notice how each time they were together they only talked about how great their values were and how well they meshed? She held him on a pedestal and would tell him how brave he was, what a great man he was, how much she admired him ... but she wasn't really giving him the opportunity to show her that. It's no surprise to me that he said he could never really be himself with her. I don't think it's her fault, it's just the way it was.

At the same time, he had her on a pedestal as well. She's "perfect" as he kept saying when breaking up with her. He was probably afraid he wouldn't measure up to all the man she saw him as instead of who he is.

All along, although Vienna is the girl everyone loves to hate, it did seem obvious that Jake had no problem just being himself with her.

Now who knows ... maybe things will change, but I was on team Jake & Vienna a while ago. I think I switched gears after Alli went psycho-girl crazy was was just mean at the rose ceremony when he kept Vienna. (But my opinion on Alli is a whole different post!)
