25 years old, and no idea what 3 years later would look like!

This past Wednesday was my birthday and I turned 28 years old! This is going to be another wonderful year. Not only am I resigned to remember my age, but my hubby comes home this year!

Even though we weren't able to celebrate my birthday together this year, we are so blessed to have been a part of each other's lives for so long that we've celebrated more birthdays together than most newlyweds!

We started dating right around my 18th birthday (TEN YEARS AGO!!!) and first celebrated his 16th birthday together! For my 25th birthday, David threw a party for me at his apartment when he was living downtown Southern Pines. For my 26th birthday, he took me to Chicago and South Bend. And when we got back home, we celebrated with friends over dinner and drinks. Last year for my 27th birthday we were in Fort Knox, and we spent the weekend before my birthday in Louisville and stayed at the Brown Hotel. He wined, dined and spoiled me. And this year, he sent me a beautiful bouquet of flowers, and many sweet words, encouraging me to celebrate the day.

Even though my hubby wasn't here, it was still a wonderful birthday. I received letters, phone calls, gifts, and had a fun celebration out with some wonderful girls. I just feel blessed to have such wonderful people in my life, from Hubby to Family and Friends. Here's to another wonderful year! And MANY more birthday memories to come!
