Some things never change.

As a kid, I loved to decorate and rearrange my room. As far back as I can remember, I would spend a day moving my bed, desk, and furniture around. And then spend the rest of the day getting everything "just so". Then in high school I painted my room, bathroom, and even painted clouds on my bathroom ceiling. I spent hours making wall sized collages and spent my money on shower curtains, fabric to make a canopy over my bed, vases, picture frames and candle sticks holders. For my birthday one year, there was a lamp at an antique shop downtown Laurinburg that I HAD to have. It's now beside our bed. For Christmas another year, I found this box I also HAD to have. Santa obliged, and it's on my dresser.
After months of living in temporary housing not really having the freedom to do too much playing and rearranging, I've rediscovered this love, and realized that some things never change.
I recently bought a $45 bookshelf off craigslist and turned it into a hutch. Finally my china is out of the boxes and on display where I can see it! I also finally got over my fear of hammering holes into the wall and hung some pictures and posters that have been sitting in a corner since we moved it. I love our house, and I love playing house.
I just wanted to post some pictures since I said I would!
To see the rest of my new house pictures, go to my flickr site HERE! I have them marked as private so you'll have to create an account to sign in.
Play time is over, time to finish getting my grad school application together. Not as much fun!
