South Bend Again!

Our trip to South Bend was quick, family filled and fun! We had a nice visit with Grandma and Grandad Fuchs and I was glad that David and Grandad got to spend time together because I knew they would have many common interests to talk about, cars, motorcycles, history, the Army . . . and cars. 

Despite our quick trip, we got to see lots of the Miller clan: Aunt Bev, Bethy, Brian, Bridget, we watched Patrick's basketball game at Trinity, stopped by Eddie & Heidi's and got to see their crew of kids. We played table tennis in the newly renovated basement of Bridget's, and David enjoyed battling it out with her boys. I was happy to show off my husband :-) 

We stayed with Kreece, Leslie & Moose and I know David and Chris had a good time playing with Chris's unbelievable Lionel set. It's a pretty impressive set-up, one day it'll be as good as Grandad's was, at least that's something to try and live up to!

But we got back JUST IN TIME FOR THE RECORD BREAKING ICE STORM!

We had a 2 day power outage followed by another quick outage, but we're among the lucky to have power. (So we can enjoy our new TV!)

David didn't have to go into work, so he's there this weekend now. Although we're pretty sure he'll get off in time to watch the Steelers in the Superbowl tomorrow!

Anyways, gotta get cookin' for dinner!
