This past weekend I booked a ticket to South Bend and was greeted by snow, lots of snow!
Oh how I love snow, and as I said several times over the weekend, I love to VISIT it!
Besides visiting snow, the real reason for the trip was to visit my grandparents who just moved from Pittsburgh to South Bend.
Their new "digs" and my Grandma put it is AWESOME, LIVELY, BEAUTIFUL, and HOMEY, the kind of place I can only hope that one day David and I can retire to in our ripe old age. My grandparents are the sweetest and loving couple who do everything for each other. I can't wait for David and I to make a trip there together so David can enjoy talking to them and hearing some of their incredible stories.
Not only did I get to visit my grandparents but I got to stay with my brother and his wife, Kreece and Leslie, visit with my Aunt Bev, help her daughter Bridget fix broken jewelry and recreate several new pieces. Hang out with Uncle Pat and Aunt Vicki. Give Aunt Vicki knitting help, Uncle Pat graphic design feedback. Drop by Bethy's and see her new home renovations and help her put the lights up on her Christmas tree before her party that night, see adorable cousins at church, and stop by Eddie and Heidi's home full of fun cousins.
True to form, I had my camera with me ALL WEEKEND and failed to take a single picture.
Did I take photos of the adorable Christmas decorations at Aunt Vicki's, Uncle Pat's or Aunt Bev's house? Did I get a photo of me with my grandparents and their new home? Did I get a picture of me with my bro and wife? Did I capture the fun households of my cousins? NO!!!!
I PROMISED David I would take a picture of me in the snow. So at 1:00am, before Aunt Bev would have to wake up to take me to the airport at 6:30am, she grabbed the camera and snapped a few photos so I could be true to my word. So David, here's your Sarah Marie in Snow!
What a wonderful trip. I can't wait to go back to this winter wonderland with my husband so he can enjoy all my family, and all the snow with me.
