So this morning as I realized I hadn't taken any photos of what I wore during the week, and I had actually ventured out of my around-the-house pajama-wear on more than one occasion put together a few outfits that I thought were pretty cute.
As I headed towards my closet to snap a few photos for What I Wore Wednesday, instead of walking towards the tops hanging up and the jeans in the drawer, I went to my dress closet and began playing dress up. I mean some people actually get to wear super cute dresses and killer heels to work, so I can pretend, right?!
The first outfit. One of my favorite dresses. A silk mod little dress that I bought last summer for a girls weekend in Atlanta. Paired with my Jeffrey Campbell booties and I felt like I could take on the world. Just as long as I don't have to walk too far. Okay, scratch this outfit. It wouldn't even cut it in my pretend workplace.
The second outfit began with another one of my favorite dresses. Back when I just graduated from college and had my first job, I spent all my money on clothes until I realized I was going broke. Luckily, some of those purchases are still some of my favorites. A v-neck black & brown leopard print jersey dress with a skirt that can do some serious swirling, and a red satin sash. Paired with my urban cowboy boots, I was feeling pretty sassy. But the v-neck is a little too low cut for my pretend workplace. How would even my pretend co-workers take me seriously if my bra kept poking out? Outfit number 2, out.
Then, like Goldilocks and the three bears, the third outfit was just right. A black & white almost polka-dot dress with a sable brown cardigan and my urban cowboy boots. I threw on a necklace and thought, now why can't I wear this? Forget my pretend workplace. Who cares I work from home. I can wear what I want!
And so I am. Who cares?!
I'll let you know how it goes.
What makes you feel sassy? A pair of shoes, a dress, nail polish color?
Now, for the Linky Party. Since this is my second time posting about an outfit I WISH I had worn, I've decided to host a What I WISH I Wore Wednesday party to complement the WIWW party at The Pleated Poppy.
The Rules:
1. Post a picture of you in an outfit you wish you had someplace to wear.
2. Or post photos of and outfit you saw online that you wish you could wear.
3. Link back up with me!
4. No spam!
That's it! We'll see how this goes. To go to your closet, put on the dress you've been wanting to wear. Take out those shoes that have been sitting there. Let's see what you've got!
Thanks for stopping by & your sweet comment. I can't wait to get my legs out!

ReplyDeleteI like all three options but you're right, number three is "just right". I have been meaning to tell you that I always want to reply to your comments through email but you have it set up as no reply. You can change that in your settings. :)
